Waiting for Trudeau

The Return of the King

(A Musical Revue)

Written & Composed by McCaig & McCaig

Musical Direction and Staging by Patrick Burwell

Starring: Paul Constable, Brett McCaig, Paul Regan and Racheal McCaig as "The Beaver"

The Lost Sex Tapes of...SHEILA COPPS?
A gay marriage with...BEN MULRONEY??
The comedy stylings of...BANTING & BEST???

From the first moment a lone voice cried out in the wilderness "Hey, I can handle this weather" up to "My God it's 2004 and it's still so freaking' cold!" we have continued to ponder ‘what is Canada?’. From the producers of Top Gun! The Musical comes Waiting for Trudeau: The Return of the King.

This fun musical satire attempts to cover all things Canuck…in just 55 minutes! Sing along with The Jesuit Jingle! Join the Jews on the Prairies with Oy! Manitoba! Watch Paul Martin mastering The Double Talk Rag and vote for your next Separatists Idol!!

Written and composed by husband and wife team Brett and Racheal McCaig, this show is co-produced by Derrick Chua (Sleepless: A New Musical, The Laramie Project, This Is Our Youth, Top Gun! The Musical, Poochwater), with Musical Staging and Direction by Patrick Burwell (Forever Plaid, Leader of the Pack, Hey! Mr. Producer). The animated cast includes: direct from the Mainstage of The Second City, Mr. Paul Constable; The King Himself in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and soon to be ‘George Bailey’ in the musical version of It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr. Brett McCaig; Mr. Paul Regan, who’s actually skiving off work as an Internet Product Manager for a big multi-national investment company to join us…And the lovely and talented Ms. Racheal McCaig, who created the role of ‘Goose’ in the smash Top Gun: the Musical! and is also co-starring as ‘Nurse Bridget’ in Sleepless: A New Musical for this year’s Fringe.

Come party on the Plains of Abraham and join us on this hilarious quest through our history and culture!
