Event Description:

First Night Toronto is one of over 200 family-oriented events in cities worldwide where the young—and the young at heart—gather for an alcohol-free celebration, community festival, and enjoy a broad spectrum of arts and performance: from magicians to musicians, poets to puppeteers, storytellers to singers, actors to artists, and more. The three-day multicultural extravaganza is a culmination of a year-round series of outreach programmes, festival performances, and collaborative visual, performing, and folk art projects with community, youth, and other cultural organizations.

First Night is a not-for-profit charitable organization that holds a year-end arts and culture celebration that is community-based, family-oriented and alcohol-free. First Night International is the umbrella organization that fosters the First Night concept, which was born in Boston in 1976, and is now mirrored in over 200 cities in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and New Zealand.
